A powerful and kinetic look at one young woman's struggle with the onset of schizophrenia, Off-Leash Area's latest dance-theater project is an emotional exploration of the effects of mental illness on one ill-prepared family, as told through a combination of choreography, visual design and language. This inventive production provides an affecting picture of the confusion and pain involved in the disorder, as well as the crushing stigma associated with it. One of the Twin Cities' most recognized companies of its kind, Off-Leash Area is now in its 14th year.
