The 2014 Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival was held Saturday 18, 2014. There was wind until approximately 3:20. Even the most skilled sailors, or desperate pirate could do nothing to coax the sailing shapes to fill. Yet earlier, many individuals jumped and waved to taunt their wind machine to climb or accelerate in intentional resistance to a wind.
People milled and meshed with family hospitality. Displays were up and down, and all around, with everyone waddling in the snow. Tangles did not always outlast patience. Tall people have trouble resisting in tugging the line, but are good at pulling a sled.
