Ira Levin is best known for writing The Boys from Brazil, Stepford Wives and, of course, Rosemary's Baby. But Levin also turned his imagination to the stage, and the terrifying Veronica's Room is among the darkest of all his efforts. Invited to a crumbling mansion by its charming Irish caretakers, Susan, a young co-ed, is met with an unusual request. Since she strongly resembles Veronica, the long-dead relative of the mansion's current owner, could she possibly visit Veronica's room and try on some of her clothes? The caretakers convince Susan that the sight of "Veronica" alive again might soothe their employer, an elderly woman afflicted with dementia. But a compassionate-sounding request masks a fiendish plot with hellish consequences that Susan might never escape. Step into the Ames Center Black Box Theatre to discover for yourself how it all turns out.
