2 Nights To Cuba!

Charanga Tropical presents 2 NIGHTS TO CUBA, a two-night benefit concert so the group can attend the 2015 International Festival of Danzón in Havana this summer. Friday’s benefit concert takes place at Bedlam Theatre, and Saturday’s is at The Cedar Cultural Center. Bring your dancing shoes for a lively salsa lesson at 8pm while DJ Momchil spins salsa hits. Then at 9pm, Charanga Tropical takes the stage, along with Cuban pianist Viviana Pintado, singers Juan Castro and Franklin Paz from Chicago, and musicians from top local Latin groups such as Malamanya, Salsa Del Soul, and Salsabrosa. There will be dance showcases by pros from Rene Dance Studio and Social Dance Studio and intricate routines by salsa performance teams Minniami Salsa and Salsa De La Calle. 2 NIGHTS TO CUBA promises to be one of the biggest and most joy-filled Latin music and dance collaborations of the year.
