See one of the new generation's most astounding classical performers when British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor plays a solo concert at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Grosvenor has been playing the piano since the age of six, and when he was 11, he was the youngest-ever finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. He won that competition, and has gone on to play with elite orchestras on several continents, working as a soloist under some of the world's most famous conductors. He is currently 20 years old, and recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, where he received the Queen's Award for Excellence for the best all-round student of the year. He's appeared in two BBC television documentaries, and is the first British pianist to sign to Decca Classics in almost 60 years. His stunning debut album Chopin-Liszt-Ravel made him the youngest performer ever to win two Gramophone Awards.
