A pair of BFFs have taken almost everything that's funny about being female and turned it into a raucous two-woman show featuring improv, sketches, songs, videos and audience participation. Writer-performers Barbara Gehring and Linda Klein unexpectedly discovered comedy gold when they decided to read their junior-high diaries aloud to each other. Once they stopped laughing, crying and cringing, they came up with Girls Only: The Secret Comedy of Women, a fun-filled production that shines a satirical spotlight on the shared joys and burdens of being female, from menstrual cycles to menopause and everything in between. This successful show is back in Minneapolis at Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Theatre.
