Novelist Saul Bellow has an idea why Jews are often recognized as comically gifted: "Oppressed people tend to be witty." The sixth annual edition of this comedy extravaganza celebrates this truism with national headliners like Samson Koletkar, Aaron Friedman, Dana Eagle and more taking a turn at the mic. Opening night features comic Cory Kahaney, whose impressive credits include a Comedy Central special, appearances on David Letterman and Craig Ferguson, Last Comic Standing and Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher. The fest also includes improv from the local Jewish troupe The Chosen Few, Dan Kamin's multimedia performance, Funny Bones: The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin and more. Plus, tickets to opening and closing nights include a pre-show reception.
