This will be a bi-weekly reading and discussion group on police militarization and repression, specifically the ways in which military tactics once reserved for foreign war zones are increasingly being deployed against domestic populations. We will read selections from the 2013 book 'Life During Wartime: Resisting Counterinsurgency*, and hear from the authors and members of local organizations fighting repression.
