Have your kids started their holiday wish lists? Who's training our children to be good little consumers? We give them money (eventually) and encourage independent habits, which is great until you realize this gives them the power that makes children so attractive to marketers. Even if you build low-impact, natural family traditions for your children, you can't ignore commercialism. Join the Holistic Moms Network Twin Cities Chapter for a discussion led by chapter founder Sara Grochowski to talk about ways to simplify and protect our children from a consumer-driven culture.

Holistic Moms Network is a non-profit national organization that connects parents who are passionate about holistic health and green living. The Twin Cities Chapter holds monthly meetings the third Wed of each month, 7-9pm, at Fuller Park Rec Center, 4800 Grand Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419. No matter where you are on your parenting or holistic journey, you are welcome! Children are welcome. To contact the Twin Cities Chapter, or for more info, an event calendar, and a map to our meeting location, visit http://twincitiesmn.holisticmoms.org or e-mail tcholisticmoms [at] gmail [dot] com (tcholisticmoms [at] gmail [dot] com) or visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HMNTwinCitiesMN
