Mrs. Charles

Nothing -- not war, drugs, revelation or even plastic surgery -- transforms people like the power of love. Even so, few transformations are as shocking as the one at the heart of Mrs. Charles, the new play from Ruth Virkus. It's 1878 and Charles and Walter are in love, but the harsh realities of Philadelphia society forbid even the slightest hint of a relationship. So, when Walter is later offered a chance to open a milling concern in Minneapolis, the two lovers hatch an audacious plan: arrive in booming "Mill City" as Walter and Charlotte.
