The Dakota Combo, an elite high school jazz ensemble, announces their final performance of the year. The members of the ensemble are selected through an audition process and practice throughout the school year under the direction of Adam Linz, Jazz Coordinator at MacPhail Center for Music. This year’s Combo is a septet including Jack Courtright (trombone, Apple Valley High School), Ben Ehrlich (drums, Wayzata High School), Peter Goggin (saxophone, Mounds View High School), Will Kjeer (piano, Home School), Levi Schwartzberg (vibraphone, Southwest High School), Aiden Sponheim (trumpet, Southwest High School) and Sam Worthington (bass, Mounds View High School). The Dakota Combo is made possible through a partnership between MacPhail Center for Music and the Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education.
This event is free and open to the public.
