Singer-songwriter Joey Shaheen, aka "The Wrong Omar", brings his tour of the US and Canada to Minneapolis, singing his "sidewalk confessionals of bad choices" with a tongue-in-cheek curmudgeon persona for old souls of all ages. This gig includes special guest Becky Shaheen and the full band: Bob Groethe (guitar), Tom Hels (drums) and Chuck Gordon (bass). It follows a string of Joe’s solo acoustic shows, radio and TV performance in the Southeast and Midwest. His soulful singing, piano, guitar and blues harp can be described as "crying tears of joy while making love". You may laugh yourself silly with his stories. Be forewarned: you may walk away with these tunes stuck in your head, and you will also be encouraged to sing along at times. The Wrong Omar has performed live on KUMD (Duluth, MN), WTIP (Grand Marais, MN), KMSU (Mankato, MN), WDVX (Knoxville, TN), WETS (Johnson City, TN), WGNW (Asheville, NC) and KDTR (Missoula, MT). Joe has appeared in concert with RB Morris, Daphne Willis, Hamilton Loomis, Della Mae and Monroe Crossing.
