Now celebrating its 55th season of over-the-top family fun, the Minnesota Centennial Showboat Players are back with the action-packed melodrama Sweet Revenge! (or No Mother to Guide Her). A reformed criminal battles bad guys from the big city for the heart of a fair farmer's daughter, as a raging tornado bears down on them, among other excitement. Booing the baddies and cheering the heroes is strongly encouraged. You'll also be entertained by a number of director Vern Sutton's patented musical olios, song-and-dance interludes straight out of vaudeville. Plus, the Showboat theater itself is filled with vintage charm including painted scenery, footlights and plenty of stage magic. Don't miss out on this Minnesota summer tradition.
