International Women’s Day 25th Anniversary on KFAI

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of International Women’s Day 24 hours of broadcasting on KFAI with the theme “Inspiring Change” From midnight to midnight on Saturday, March 8, 24 hours of programming is devoted to highlighting women’s and girls’ voices, issues and music. A main feature of the 24 hour broadcast is that only women’s & girls’ voices, both biological and trans, are allowed on air but behind the scenes all genders are welcome to help prepare and celebrate International Women’s Day on KFAI. International Women’s Day is celebrated annually around the world on March 8th. Globally International Women’s Day encourages advocacy for women's advancement everywhere in every way and for challenging the status quo for women's equality and vigilance inspiring positive change. International Women’s Day 25th Anniversary on KFAI is highlighted in the March 2014 issue of the Minnesota Women’s Press. www.womenspress.com
